    Are you interested in seeking election for a TxGAP board position?

    For the upcoming 2021 TxGAP Elections, there are two positions available. The positions available for the TxGAP Board are Vice-President and Treasurer. If you are seeking election, we will post a form for you to complete.

    Election Registration: Open

    Registration Deadline: April 16, 2021 (11:59pm CST)

    Campaigning Period: Mon. April 19 - Fri. April 30, 2021

    Election Open: Mon. April 26 - Fri. April 26, 2021 (11:59pm CST)

    Election Winner(s) Announcement: Mon. May 3, 2021

    Elected Board Member Begins Term: Wed. May 5, 2021

    TxGAP will kick off their new Professional Development Series with a session titled Finding Your Lane: Understanding Inclusion & Where You Fit In

    The Professional Development Sessions will provide personal and professional development to members surrounding various topics. 

    Join us on March 2nd, 2021 from 12p-1p on Zoom for the session. You can visit the events tab for details.

    Are you interested in presenting at this year's Summer Institute? We would love for you to share your expertise, experience, and best practices at your institution.

    Breakout sessions are 50 minutes in length and generally consist of 30-40 minutes of presentation with 10 minutes of discussion. Your session proposal can be for an individual presentation, panel presentation, or moderated discussion session. 

    Sessions can focus on a variety of topics related to Graduate Enrollment Management (GEM) including, but not limited to:

    • Graduate Landscape Affordability (from applying to retention)
    • Advising Needs
    • GEM Processes/Platforms
    • Working with International Students
    • Work/Life Balance
    • Mental Health
    Submit a proposal today! Deadline: March 27th!

    Call for Elections for Board Positions!
    We are looking for talented members interested in taking the organization to the next level! This year, three positions are up for election. If you are interested in any of the positions or would like to nominate yourself or someone else email Victor Lopez at Victor.Lopez@unthsc.edu.

    At our Summer Institute in The Woodlands, incoming president Robert Stephens announced that a white paper outlining Graduate & Professional School Fair best-practices would be forthcoming. We are happy to announce that the document is finalized!

    This spring, TXGAP sent a 10-question survey to recruiters who attended previous Swing events at UT-Arlington, Texas State University, and UT-RGV. The results of this survey—which had a 30% response rate—were extremely helpful in the creation of the white paper. If you were one of the 45 respondents- thank you for your input!
