    Dear GEM Professional,

You are invited to participate in a study about work behaviors and attitudes of higher education professionals and faculty. The aim of the study is to investigate job satisfaction, burnout, organizational commitment and the antecedents of organizational citizenship behavior (OCB) among higher education and student affairs staff (full/part time & graduate students). It will also examine these constructs as they relate to varying group identities, i.e. race/ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation etc.

Participant eligibility: Any individual who has an employment position in higher education and student affairs. Your participation in this research is anonymous and voluntary.

If you are interested in participating in the study, please access the survey by using the following link:

    https://kansasedu.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_eX7Zim80Nqppo9L

Note: You will find the informed consent at the beginning of the survey and items to collect demographic information at the end. If you have any other questions please contact Dr. Eugene T. Parker, principal investigator for the study, via e-mail: eparker@ku.edu

Thank you very much for your willingness to participate. Results of this study will be shared with NAGAP members.

At our Summer Institute in The Woodlands, incoming president Robert Stephens announced that a white paper outlining Graduate & Professional School Fair best-practices would be forthcoming. We are happy to announce that the document is finalized!

This spring, TXGAP sent a 10-question survey to recruiters who attended previous Swing events at UT-Arlington, Texas State University, and UT-RGV. The results of this survey—which had a 30% response rate—were extremely helpful in the creation of the white paper. If you were one of the 45 respondents- thank you for your input!

We hope you find this both interesting and helpful. We also encourage you to share this with anyone at your institution who might benefit from the information we have compiled. Grad Fair Best Practices FINAL.pdf

For those of us working in the evolving field of graduate education and enrollment management, quality compensation data is critical. In addition to salary comparisons, we can answer other important questions (What titles are people using? What skills are most critical? What areas are people working in?  etc.).

To help us gather this valuable data, please take 5-10 minutes to complete the2017 NAGAP Salary Survey.

    Spread the word!

To broaden our reach, this year we are inviting both current members and non-NAGAP members to complete the survey. Please help us spread the word by forwarding this message to your colleagues.

    Survey Report

A survey report will be created and made available later this year via the NAGAP website. Over the years, many have cited this report as being invaluable for job searches, negotiating increases, and staff restructuring.

    Extra incentive!

As an added bonus, at the end of the survey you can enter to win complimentary registration to the NAGAP annual conference in April 2018 in New Orleans or complimentary Membership Dues for the 2017-2018 year.

Please note the survey will close on July 14, 2017.
