  • Learners will understand frequently used terminology associated with inclusion.
  • Learners will examine what the current climate is towards inclusion and why multicultural based trainings are necessary.
  • Learners will explore the differences between acting as a bystander, ally, and accomplice.
  • Learners will discover healthy ways to support minorities populations and people of color.

Speaker Bio: Kevin D. Sanders

Kevin D. Sanders currently serves as the Director of Co-Curricular Student Services at the University of North Texas. As a Class of 2013 graduate, Kevin is a proud UNT alumnus, holding both a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and a Master of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies (Higher Education & Educational Psychology). Kevin plans to continue his academic endeavors by completing a PhD in Higher Education. He hopes to conduct research that will influence higher education professionals to move away from a “one size fits all” model of serving students and instead take a more individualized approach based in multicultural competency. In his personal time, Kevin is a Black history and culture enthusiast. Kevin utilizes his passions to educate students on their history, while also relating to the various intersections of the Black experience.
